Art Show

“Welcome Artists”

I talked to Jeff Wamsley a couple of years ago about having an Art Show during the Mothman Festivals. He was very excited about the idea. And we both always hoped we could get enough artists involved to make it happen. So if any of you would like to enter your artwork into the art show. Please email, or call me about how many works of art you plan on entering. So I can get an understanding of how much space we will need for our show! And I will be glad to help you with any questions you may have as well. Since the Art Show is going to only be about the Mothman. It is important that the subject your artwork expresses, only be about the Mothman or the events that have taken place concerning it in the Point Pleasant/TNT area, or around the world.

Here is all the information you should need to enter your Artwork.

Entries will be Accepted:

September 17th, and 18th, from12:00-5:00 p.m.

(Artists from out of town may enter their artwork on September 19th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.)

Entry is Free

You are invited to submit up to 4 works of art to the 1st Annual Mothman Art Show. All submissions will be exhibited (unless space becomes unavailable ). All artwork will be shown on the 19th and 20th of September at the 2009 Mothman Festival. Artwork will be protected under tents from weather, and will most likely be viewed by over 2,000 visitors. Artwork in the show should be appropriate for viewing by both children and adults.

How to Enter

Bring artwork to the Mothman Museum, Point Pleasant W.V. on Sept. 17th or 18th. Complete the Mothman Art Show identification tag (available at the Mothman Museum while dropping off art).
